Gudanji For Country
‘We are honoured and humbled to have been awarded a Groundswell Core Funding Grant. This grant will allow us to continue our fight to protect our Country, songlines, sacred sites and non-human kin from the imminent threat of fracking. Additionally, it will allow us to continue to do our bit in helping to attain climate justice for all.’ Rikki Dank, Director
Gudanji For Country was formed in 2021 to help elevate the voices of the Kurrunjini Rrumburriya (part of the Gudanji Nation), in speaking for and caring for our Country in a fight against the damaging effects of overgrazing, mining and now fracking.
Groundswell is proud to have awarded Gudanji For Country a major $40,000 climate action grant to help support the continuation of the group’s participation in Senate inquiries, and attendance at COP27 to increase international awareness of the Australian government’s oil and gas policies, their impact upon Country and the broader environment.
