Australasian Centre Corporate Responsibility
The Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility (ACCR) is an investor-focused climate advocacy organisation that uses shareholder power to influence major companies.
This Groundswell grant supported the Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility to use shareholder pressure to push major polluting companies towards stronger emissions reduction plans. The funding helped expand research, investor engagement and advocacy across high-emitting companies in Australia, the UK and Japan, using tools such as shareholder resolutions, board campaigns and direct engagement. The work also strengthened collaboration with institutional investors and climate organisations, helping increase pressure on companies to align their strategies with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
