Clean State WA

Groundswell Grants
2020
$
10000

This Groundswell grant supported Clean State WA to build public and political support for a clean jobs transition in Western Australia. The funding helped launch its Clean Jobs Plan, positioning renewable energy and climate action as a pathway to stronger employment and economic recovery after COVID-19. The work aimed to challenge the influence of the oil and gas industry, build support for alternatives to projects like the Woodside Burrup Hub, and shift the state’s economic narrative towards clean energy and long-term job creation.

Wherever we are in this country, we are on Country.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We honour their enduring care for Country and the First Nations leadership our climate future depends on.
