The Climate Media Centre (an independent Climate Council program) is Australia's go-to bureau for climate stories - connecting journalists with more than 5,000 trained spokespeople from a diverse range of backgrounds including firefighters, farmers, athletes, doctors, climate litigants, Traditional Owners, renters, extreme weather survivors and young people.
This grant supported dedicated media capacity for grassroots climate campaigns and community spokespeople across Australia. The funding enabled a Senior Media Advisor to provide daily, hands-on support to help people shape their stories, respond to media opportunities and reach wider audiences. By strengthening a broader and more representative group of climate voices, the work helped make climate change more relevant and visible across different communities and audiences.

Your donation is pooled with others and directed to the people, organisations and communities helping drive climate progress across Australia.
Every gift is 100% tax-deductible. Monthly giving provides the steady support climate campaigns need to succeed, but every contribution counts.
