Groundswell Grants
2025
$
100000

This Groundswell grant supported Common Threads to build the power, coordination and visibility of First Nations-led climate action across Australia. The funding helped convene regional climate dialogues, develop shared policy demands, train and support First Nations storytellers, and build a national narrative campaign grounded in community priorities. The work also strengthened First Nations organising in the lead-up to COP31, with a focus on climate justice, cultural heritage, Native Title, just transition and ensuring First Nations communities have greater power to shape the policies and decisions affecting Country.

Wherever we are in this country, we are on Country.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We honour their enduring care for Country and the First Nations leadership our climate future depends on.
