Community Power Agency (CPA) is driving a fair and fast transition to renewable energy by building social trust and community participation. Their work ensures that regional communities hosting renewable energy projects actively benefit from and support the shift, countering misinformation and backlash that threaten Australia’s decarbonisation targets.

This grant supported Community Power Agency to build stronger community support for Australia’s renewable energy transition. The funding helped advocate for policies that deliver real benefits to regional communities, strengthen local leadership, counter misinformation and improve how renewable energy projects engage with the people hosting them. The work also expanded training for industry and policymakers and supported on-the-ground engagement in regional areas, helping make the transition to clean energy fairer, more trusted and more durable.
