AAFCS is an Asian-Australian-led climate organisation that helps multicultural communities take part in climate action and have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect them.
This Groundswell grant supported AAFCS to grow Asian-Australian and multicultural leadership in climate action. The funding helped expand community organising across NSW, Victoria and South Australia, build trusted relationships through cultural and faith networks, and connect climate issues with everyday concerns like energy bills, extreme heat, food and family wellbeing. The work also supported workshops, community events and ethnic media outreach, helping more multicultural communities take part in climate conversations and ensuring their perspectives are better represented in policy and public debate.
This Groundswell grant supported Asian Australians for Climate Solutions to strengthen climate leadership and participation across Australia’s Asian communities. The funding helped expand multilingual communications, community events and social media outreach in languages including Mandarin, Vietnamese, Punjabi and Hindi, while supporting young people to become trusted climate messengers. The work also focused on countering misinformation and helping more Asian-Australian communities engage with climate issues and bring their perspectives into public and policy discussions.

Wherever we are in this country, we are on Country.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Traditional Custodians, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
We honour their enduring care for Country and the First Nations leadership our climate future depends on.
