Rewiring Australia
Rewiring Australia is an independent, non-profit research and advocacy group focused on electrifying Australian homes, transport, and communities to cut carbon emissions and lower household energy bills.
This Groundswell grant supported Rewiring Australia to accelerate household and community electrification across Australia. The funding helped expand local electrification campaigns, build public understanding of the benefits of switching from fossil fuels to efficient electric appliances, and strengthen advocacy for government investment and policy reform. The work also supported research to identify equitable electrification pathways for households, including renters and people facing higher upfront costs, helping make clean energy more practical, affordable and widely accessible.
