Sea of Nations is a First Nations-led coalition of coastal community leaders from northern Australia, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste.
This Groundswell grant supported coastal community leaders from northern Australia, Indonesia and Timor-Leste to challenge offshore oil and gas expansion across the region. The funding helped bring a delegation to Japan, where major government and financial decisions are shaping future fossil fuel investment in the region. The work aimed to put frontline community voices directly in front of decision-makers and build pressure for investment to shift away from new offshore fossil fuel projects.
