The Victorian Forest Alliance is a grass-roots collective of more than 30 forest groups fighting for protection of Victoria's native forests from logging.
This grant supported the Victorian Forest Alliance to build public and political support for protecting Victoria’s native forests as critical carbon sinks. The funding helped turn new research on emissions from native forest logging into a broader campaign, combining social media, community events and grassroots organising to raise awareness and pressure decision-makers. The work aimed to strengthen links between the forest and climate movements and build momentum for an earlier end to native forest logging in Victoria.
