The Veilomani Project empowers Pasifika youth to become confident and effective changemakers who honour their cultural identity while driving positive change in their communities.
This grant supported the Veilomani Project to build the skills, confidence and connections of young Pasifika leaders. The funding helped deliver a four-day Empowerment Camp covering advocacy, storytelling, grant writing, event planning and cultural preservation, with many participants going on to take up further leadership roles in their communities. It also supported Veilomani Day, bringing the wider community together through performance, discussion and creative activities exploring the connections between climate, culture and justice.
