An Australian youth-led and First Nations-led coalition based in Queensland that uses the law to fight for human rights and climate justice
Following its groundbreaking legal victory against Clive Palmer’s Waratah coal project, First Nations-led Youth Verdict is preparing to challenge further coal expansion in Queensland. Its next focus is the proposed Peak Downs mine expansion, where it is exploring legal avenues to protect climate, human rights and cultural heritage. This grant will support Youth Verdict’s broader advocacy, community organising and campaign capacity as it works to hold fossil fuel developments accountable.
